Yahoo advertising goes mobile
April 2nd, 2009
Yahoo are set to launch a new mobile homepage to include a variety of opportunities for advertisers looking to align themselves with current news stories or consumer blogs. This could be through banner adverts as well as linking to relevant news articles. What is new about the yahoo mobile homepage is that it will give the user the ability to personalize it by adding bookmarks and RSS feeds. Yahoo mobile will also align itself with several social networking sites which will allow users to access these sites, whilst also giving them access to their own email, address books and instant messaging. It will be interesting to see the value advertisers place on the mobile accessibilty of social networking sites as well as mobile internet access as a whole.
